The former Age Concern premises in Huddersfield town centre have been sold and acquired by a private individual who intends to reoccupy the property.
The premises, which are situated in a high profile position on Cross Church Street in Huddersfield town centre, extended to a gross floor area in excess of 2,800 sq ft and had been occupied for many years by Age Concern prior to their relocation to last Autumn to Upperhead Row near the bus and train station. Michael Steel & Co acted on behalf of the vendors and the premises were initally marketed seeking offers in the region of £225,000.
Alec Michael, partner at Michael Steel & Co, commented, 'Throughout our marketing we did have a reasonable level of interest and whilst we have subsequently encountered some issues in completing the transaction over the last couple of months, the completing of this sale does reiterate there is demand for good quality stock competitively priced'.
